ABOUT

Technology and Livelihood Education is one of the learning areas of the Secondary Education Curriculum in the Philippines. TLE offers different courses that are vital to help students become a productive member of the modern workforce.

TLE has four component areas namely: Home Economics, Agriculture and Fishery Arts, Industrial Arts, and Information and Communication Technology. TLE by its nature is dominantly a skill-based subject in which students learn best by doing. It is integrative in approach for instance it integrates entrepreneurship with all areas of TLE. In addition, this subject equips students with skills for lifelong learning and prepare them to be globally competitive.

WRITTEN WORKS

These include quizzes, written reports, essay, and summative tests. Student's knowledge are evaluated using written assessment tools.

PERFORMANCE TASKS

Performance tasks are provided to check the students' learning. This is where the students perform certain task and is evaluated using a rubric.

PRACTICAL TEST

Every quarter students are required to take a practical examination where they can demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a particular course.
